Cherio July 24, 2015 for Model Number JED7430AAB I bought 4 of these grill rock plates from you, but they are missing their risers - the wire "handles" that support the heating elements to be a certain distance above the plates. There is one of these per plate. I can re-use my old ones but would prefer new. In the diagram, it may be item #11 shown. What is the part # and cost? Thanks!
Cheyenne January 11, 2014 Whats the proper installation for the Jenn Air lava rocks? Does the metal handle face up and touches the grill element, or facing down standing on the drip pan and supports the lava rocks which would directly touch the grill element?
1 Answer Cheyenne, The lava rocks will sit below the grill element and the handles will be in the up position. Read More...
Athena June 04, 2012 for Model Number Jenn Air D120 Hello, I've found out we are missing the rock plates for the grill portion. However, at the end of it on the back side. Our Stove has two metal pieces sticking out. Each one has one on top and bottom w/a hole in the middle. You could put a bolt through them. Any ideas what this could be for?
1 Answer Hello Athena! The rock plate is part number 74011338. You will need two for your unit. The brackets you are speaking of are used to hold the burner box to the frame of the cooktop assembly. Hope this information helps, thanks! Read More...
Pat M. August 23, 2011 How do you CLEAN them? Badly crusted, can chip off with ice pick but impossible to remove all.
1 Answer Pat, You don't really want the plate "perfectly" clean. The basic cleaning process was : Soak the plate(s) in "hot," "soapy" water( use dishwasher detergent) scrub both sides of the plate with a hard bristle scrub brush, Thoroughly rinse the plates off, and allow to dry thoroughly before installing them back on the range. Anything more than that would "de season" the plates. Good Luck Read More...
2 Answers Hello Tammy. The rock plate basically works like lava rocks do on a grill. The Rock plate will help distibute the heat more evenly when using the grill feature, and some people say that is adds to the flavor when grilling. The rock plate goes underneath the grill element. Hope this helps an happy grilling. Read More...
