Bob M March 28, 2012 for Model Number lwa65aw cold water does not work have plenty presure screen is clean is it the mixing valve??????? dont have the manual. looking for the part number also
2 Answers Bob, You're on track, it's most likely a faulty fill valve R0131578 (you have the correct part number). A quick easy check, if you have a multimeter is to start the washer on a cold wash setting and check for 120 VAC across the two wires in the cold water valve solenoid. Be careful if you check the voltage, you don't want to short out the valve or yourself. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Kevin January 22, 2012 for Model Number NAV5800AWW Hello, my name is Kevin. I would like to start by thanking you for this service that you are providing. My washing machine will not fill. When I try to start a cycle there is actually a humming noise that comes from the mixing valve area. I have tested the electrical connector closest to the back of the machine after trying to start a cycle and do have power. So my question is. Am I testing this correctly and is there anything else that I should do to verify that this part is in fact not working? Thank-You
1 Answer Kevin, If you're checking the power(120 VAC) on each solenoid connection(across both wires) when a warm water temp. selection is made, then " you're on the money" and the buzzing noise would be an indication of no water supply to the fill valve, or an internal failure of the solenoid/plunger assembly. You're most likely going to need the fill valve kit R0131578 Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
