Bill March 08, 2014 for Model Number LDR3822PQ1 I have a whirlpool 120 volt compact dryer. Have checked all the parts I could, everything seems ok. I can run the dryer with the door switch held closed, it works fine. If I close the door, the heating element quits working, but everything else is ok. any ideas of what to look for? The door sw is good. Could the door be shorting something out, don't know how, but element quits heating. any help would be great. Don't know what part to order if I can't find any that are bad. Rick March 06, 2013 My dryer seems to be running and drying ok. But the drum will still run when I open the door. I see in one of the other questions you said it would not run it the door switch was bad. Will it it run but drum not stop it the door switch is bad.
