For Whirlpool Lower Dishwasher Rack Assembly (Part Number: OEM13537536)

Grace for Model Number DU8500XX-3

Hello, I'm trying to figure out from the pictures on here of the lower rack if there is a larger round opening in the middle of the rack like so many other dishwasher racks have, or is the rack laid out like a grid with no odd sized openings in the middle of it. Also wondering from looking at my dishwasher on the top rack it seems to have holes in the spinning arm with a pipe (sort of) going up from the arm. now im trying to figure out how the water gets to the spinning arm to wash the dishes on the upper rack, just curious, nothing that I know of up there is broken. thanks for your assistance.

Grace, The lower rack is all grid shaped with no odd shaped or sized grids on it. All the grids are the same size. For how the water gets up to the center rack, there is a pressure tower that forces water up through the tube to the upper spray arm.

Charlotte, The bumper clips that come with the lower rack are for the folding tines and would be used on your rack.

Hello Janet, The parts should be assembled as the old one was assembled. I'm sorry to be so general but the old rack is the only indication as to how the racks are assembled. The service manuals never cover items like this since it is considered by the manufacturer to be "common sense". As a technician with over 20 years in the field, I can vouch for the fact that, while customers expect the technician to know it all, the tech normally has to "second guess" the design to get it right. Since there are no specific instructions on items like this, all that can be done is to use the old one as the example.

Hello Byron. You will receive the parts in the parts description. The manufacturer does not offer the rack separate from these parts, sorry.
