Jim August 28, 2011 for Model Number KHMS155LSS-4 The lower attachment of the door handle is detached. I saw broken piece in the attachment, looks like a white broken plastic wrapped over metal. Is the part broken from the door or just the screw? Do I need a new door handle or just new screws or both?
1 Answer Hello Jim! You will need to inspect the door panel, handle, and screws to verify what all parts are needed. For the handle use 8184264, for the W10841091, and for the door panel use 8205009. Thanks! Read More...
Patrick April 23, 2011 for Model Number KHMS155L OK, I am trying to replace plastic handle that has broken plastic attachments. Does not appear to be a metal screw like the replacement part suggested. I watched the video of how to get the inner frame off that says screws should be revealed. Got the frame off, a very difficult task, but still no access to any screw attachment. What now?
1 Answer Hello Patrick. On some of these, you will need to remove the inner door with glass to access the screws. You will need to remove the door from the microwave to do this. The inner door with glass unsnaps out of the door. It is number 4 in the diagram. Hope this helps. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5133418&diagram_id=28221960 Read More...

Dave February 22, 2011 Ok. I bought the new door handle. I got the inside cover off the door but there is no access to the screws and no obvious way to get the glass out or door apart. What is the trick? Does the door have to be removed? If so how as it is again not obvious. kitchenaid at WPL 8194264
1 Answer Hello Dave. Yes the inner frame will snap out and you should see the screws. Thanks. Read More...
