I am looking for a microwave vent grill (black) for gh7145xf (whirlpool brand). When I go to your site and type in the model, it shows me a grill vent — but when I check that part it says it isn’t compatible with the model. My existing grill vent (which broke) is 29 3/4 x 3 1/2. Thanks.

The vent grill cover will not stay on my Whirlpool Gold microwave, GH5184XPS-7. It appears there are supposed to be some clips that hold it on, but are missing and the plastic screw mounts that secure the clips to the grill are broken. What part(s) should I order to make sure I have everything I need?

Microwave is installed flush under cabinet. There is no way to access the hardware to hold the grill vent in place. So I have to drop the front to be able to get to the hardware. I do not see any way to access the hardware that holds the unit in place. What am I missing?

Chet, In the cabinet above the unit there will be a couple of screws. You will want to remove these screws but you will need to have someone who will be able to hold the unit up while removing the screws.

how to remove micro wave from over the stove?

James, To remove the unit from over the stove you will need to open the cabinet doors above the unit and unplug it. There will be 2 or 3 screws in the cabinet that will need to be removed. When you are removing the screws you will want to have someone holding the unit. Once you have the screws removed you will roll the microwave down in the front then lift the back off the bracket that holds it in the back.
