Behzad August 07, 2013 for Model Number KSSS42FMX00 My KitchenAid built in side by side model KSSS42FMXOO has a problem. It is warm in the refrigerator but the freezer is fine and Over Temp Reset button is blinking . I pushed it but it does no good and it comes back on again. There is no air coming out of the diffuser from freezer into the fridge . I guess it means I need to replace the Diffuser. If you agree with this Plz let me know if you carry the part and how much it is. Thanxs
1 Answer Hello Behzad. if there is no defrost issue, and the air bezel does not open, but has power to it, you will need to replace the bezel WP2221296 in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Les March 07, 2013 for Model Number ksss48fmb01 How do you install a evaporater motor in this refrigerator?
1 Answer Les, To install the evaporator fan motor in this unit you will first have to pull the shelving out of the freezer. Once shelving is out you will remove the rails that the shelving slides on. There should be 3 screws holding each rail on and you will have to pull the rail out to get to the screws behind the rail. There will be holes in the rail as you pull it out to remove the screws. Once rails are out you will remove the screws for the back cover of the freezer lower wall. With the screws out you will lift wall off and you will have access to the fan motor. You will want to make sure that power is disconnected before removing wiring from the fan motor. Remove wiring and the motor should be held in by a bracket that you just lift up on and push inward toward the fan motor to release. The fan blade must be pulled off before motor will come out. Install new motor and connect wiring. Reinstall other components. Read More...
Ry October 27, 2012 for Model Number KBRC36FTS When my fridge runs for a long period, this fan seems to spool up to a faster than normal speed. When at the higher speed it growls a bit, just doesn't sound smooth and is quite audible. Not cool for a $7k fridge. Is the fan wearing out? Should it be replaced, and if so, which blades should I replace? Thanks!
1 Answer RY, Your refrigerator is equipped with a "DC" variable speed fan, so it is normal for the fan speed to change and sound different at times. But it should not "growl" at any speed. Based on your post description you will need to replace the fan motor W11671461 and the fan blade part number is WP2169142 . Thanks Read More...
1 Answer Jerry, no the part number W11671461 is the evaporator fan motor. The dispenser motor is part number W10271509. Thanks! Read More...
