This evaporator fan motor circulates cold air across the evaporator coils and through the freezer and fresh-food sections to maintain even temperatures. Replacing a failed or noisy motor restores proper airflow and dependable cooling performance.

  • Drives the evaporator fan blade to move air over the coils and throughout the cabinet
  • Helps maintain consistent temperatures between freezer and refrigerator compartments
  • Failure symptoms include weak/no airflow, the fan not running, loud squealing/rumbling, or the fresh-food section warming up
  • Poor airflow can also lead to frost or ice buildup on the freezer back panel
What's included: 1 evaporator fan motor Install notes:
  • Disconnect power before servicing; wear cut-resistant gloves and eye protection
  • Access the motor behind the freezer's rear panel; use caution around sharp metal and evaporator fins
  • Note wire positions; transfer the fan blade and any brackets/grommets from the original motor; secure wiring connections
  • Ensure the blade spins freely; engage the door switch when testing and strong airflow after reassembly

Jeff W. for Model Number RB19KN-4A

The fan motor is not compatible with my RB19KN-4A refrigerator. The motor mounts onto a bracket using two screws. This motor does not have the screw holes needed. Is there special parts that go with this motor that make it possible to connect to this bracket. The old motor number is 29415-13, which no longer can be purchased. Use this link to show what the old one looks like. The "Optional" on page 2 is what's missing. http://www.argenind.com/pdf/acmotors/29415-XX_Motor_brochure.pdf

Hello Nhegge. You can apply power to the motor and if it runs, it is good. If it does not run, it is bad.

Mark, Yes, it is normal for the compressor and the smaller tubing to get "hot", in fact that is an indication that the sealed system is functioning properly. You may want to purchase an accurate "cooks" pocket thermometer from a local supply source, or MA-PT160B or TJMA-PDT392B So you can check the temperature of the food products in the freezer and refrigerator, Insert the probe into a liquid article and give it a minute or two to equalize. The temperature should range around 37 to 38 degrees. In the freezer insert the probe into a bag of frozen vegetables the temperature should range between -3 and +3 degrees, 0 being ideal. adjust the controls accordingly. Check and make sure the doors are closing and sealing properly, and there are no articles hanging over the edges of the shelves or bins, and no articles laying up against the walls, this can interfere with the air flow in the compartments.

Tom, Since it appears that the fan that you received will not work for your unit then you will want to try fan motor WP69106-2. They came out with 2 different replacement parts for the fan motor for this unit.
