1 Answer Hello Dave. Test for power to the fan motor. If there is none, replace the thermostat. If there is power, replace the fan motor. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Norris C. June 21, 2011 for Model Number MSD2756GEW ( Maytag) At what speed should the fan run that cools the coils on the freezer side. My freezer outer frame got extremely hot to the touch. I took the back off to find the fan motor was not running. I gave it a spin and it continued to run. It seems to be slow and is it supposed to ever turn off?
