Terry April 28, 2017 for Model Number MT4111XBR0 Sometimes it just stops Or when I push the start button the light comes on but it wont go. could it be the turn table motor.
1 Answer Hello Terry. You will need to check the door switches and make sure all of them are good. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Bob S February 09, 2017 for Model Number MMV5165AAB I believe I need to replace the platter motor in this microwave (WPW10192843 or AP6016650). The motor makes a grinding sound and the platter isn't moving. (The plastic crank does move when I remove the platter, but there isn't enough force to move the platter.) Does this sound right? Also, can I access the motor area without taking the appliance off the wall? Are there any instructions or videos on how to open the cabinet access the motor?
1 Answer Bob, The motor would be the most likely cause for this issue. To access the motor you would just remove the screws from the base of the unit and the base will drop down and you will have access to the motor. Read More...
Barney December 28, 2015 for Model Number GM8155XJB0 The turntable acts and sounds like some plastic gears are stripped. The plastic piece will turn without the glass on it, but the gear stripping sounds when we put the glass on it. It won't turn then obviously. Do we need a motor or gears or both?
1 Answer Hello Barney. You will need to remove the coupling W10859661 and see if the base where the shaft goes into it is cracked. Read More...
Ed April 11, 2014 for Model Number w10192843 I had the micro for about 5 years and it worked fine then the turn motor broke and i changed it and broke again. it seems to have a burn or discoloring on the broken shaft. I would like to know why it broke again after only a few weeks of service.
1 Answer Ed, You will want to check the motor to make sure that it is not getting overvoltage or undervoltage which either could cause the turntable motor to burn out. Would most likely be a overvoltage issue. This would be caused by the control board. Read More...
