The Cover is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool refrigerators. It protects internal crisper drawer components from moisture and spills.

Symptoms of a faulty cover include:

  • Cracks, breaks, or loose fit within the crisper framework
  • Failure to properly seal the drawer contents  
  • Water leaks entering the mechanism area
  • Inability to remove for cleaning undercover

Causes can be normal wear from frequent opening and closing of the crisper drawer over time. Exposure to condensation or food spills may also impact plastic material durability.

Jane, It appears that there are hooks on the back side of this part that hook onto the wall or onto studs on the wall. It would also appear that the rail screws go all the way through and screw into the wall for bottom support. Slide the rail out looking for the screws then remove them. Once they are removed and the rails off, try to lift the support off the studs.

Vince, In order to remove the deli center lid, lift up on the lid and slide toward the left or the right. With it staying open push in on the peg that on one side to release from the peg and lift out. Then you will just reverse it to get it in.
