Rafael A. August 10, 2012 for Model Number GU2455XTST3 When we took out the motor/pump from the Whirlpool dishwasher, we disconnected some wires. Two rather small wires with identical male-ends seem to go into two identical ports. One of the wires is Red and the other is Blue and Red. We cannot tell, however, which one goes in where. The ports that they both enter are attached to a circular base, on the bottom of the machine along the side closest to the right-side of the door. Can you help us figure out which wire goes into which port?
1 Answer Hello Rafael, The drain pump motor is an ac motor. This means that is is not polarized. You can hook the wires up either way and it will work the same. The motor doesn't care with alternating current. Read More...
