Bruce May 11, 2019 for Model Number LDG8200AAW I'm in the process of replacing the belt and roller wheels on my Maytag gas dryer, model #LDG8200AAW. I noticed the felt seals at both ends were looking like they were in need of help, so I looked at the video for installing a new rear drum seal for more info. That shows a new seal being glued onto the drum. However both front and rear seals on my dryer are mounted on the bulkheads, and held on by numerous metal tabs. What gives? Do I still use the same seal to replace? And do you have videos showing the process for replacing these seals? Thanks for your help!
1 Answer Bruce, the mounting process is a little different on your model, the seal {AP6007654] mounts to the front and rear bulkhead with some metal clips, it is not glued on to the drum like the video shows. Read More...
Ralph March 05, 2018 for Model Number LDE7304ACL I need to replace the DRYER DRUM FELT SEAL on my maytag dryer. It appears to be held on by clips with no glue. It appears to use part number AP6007654 felt seal. The video is for a different seal using glue with no clips on the drum. Is this the correct part ? NO GLUE? Do you bend these clips to hold the felt? Thanks Ralph
1 Answer Ralph, This seal WP314820 is the correct felt seal for your unit and would go into the clips on the bulkhead. There will be no glue required to do this. Read More...

Blake March 26, 2015 for Model Number LSE7806ACE Hi, I have a stackable. The dryer is taking a very long time to dry clothes. I have checked the vent pipe - it was very clogged with lint and I cleared it out. That did not solve the problem. I pulled the vent off the back and it is blowing very well. The inside is heating up very hot. Could it be the dryer seal? it looks uneven in the rear of the drum. Is there anything else it could be? I have never repaired a dryer - the video makes it look complicated to reattach the drum belt back on the pulley. Should I replace the front seal too as long as I have the drum out? Do both require adhesive? Thanks
1 Answer Blake, You will want to make sure that you cleaned the venting going all the way to the outside of the home, especially were the vent cap is. It sounds like a restricted vent would still possibly be the cause but you can try to dry a load with the vent disconnected and if it dries in proper time then the issue would be the venting being clogged still. For the seals, it would be best if replacing the seals that you replaced both the front and the rear seal. Yes the seals do require adhesive which is part number WPY055980. Read More...
Ronnie June 09, 2014 for Model Number de8600 Dryer squeals during operation . I checked the bearings on the drum and idler pulley, they are good the only place I can figure the worn or missing felt seal is causing it. What do you think?
1 Answer Hello Ronnie. Check the rollers, idler pulley, and the blower wheel in the unit. If the seals are good, then theses need to be checked out. Read More...

Bob October 31, 2012 for Model Number LDE8426ACE Is one 2 ounce tube of high temperature sealant enough to install both the front and rear seal?
1 Answer Hello Bob, The 2 ounce tube WPY055980 should be sufficient. It doesn't take much because if you use too much, the excess squeezes out anyway. Most people use too much while a small amount is all that is needed. Read More...
Husson A September 04, 2012 for Model Number LDG4000 hello I think my gas dryer overconsumption. A bottle of 15 kg of gas is consumed in two weeks by the dryer. I changed both sensors Hi-limit and the other. What do you think ? ahusson
1 Answer Husson, The dryer is equipped with a 22,000 BTU per hour burner. Depending on how many loads are dried and how long it takes to dry a load, it wont take long to consume 30 lbs (15Kg) of LP or Butane gas. It actually sounds within expectations. Read More...
