David Moon March 01, 2017 for Model Number WFW8300SW03 my machine rattles & leakes, could the rattle be the spider gear?
1 Answer David, Your washer doesn't have a "spider gear". If the spider shaft or tub bearings were worn the washer would make a loud grumbling or rumbling noise. You may want to remove the lower access panel and the top panel and try to isloate the location of the noise and leak. There are several possibilities. Read More...

Don January 25, 2016 for Model Number WFW8300SW03 I have a Whirlpool washer Modle WFW8300SW03. The rear shock- absr failed [the white plastic clip that attaches the shock to the drum broke]. I just need one [1] shock. Do you sell them separately? If so what is the cost. Thanks, Don
1 Answer Hello Don. No, they recommend replacing all shocks if 1 shock is broke. This is the reason they sell the kit W10739670. Read More...
Gary B November 18, 2015 for Model Number wfw8300sw00 How do you remove the tub baffle with out braking it. I seem to have something between the drum and outer housing. I thought I may find it by removing the baffle.
1 Answer Gary, If there is something caught between the inner and outer tub, you will not be able to see or get to it by removing the baffle. This would require the outer tub to be separated in order to access what is in there. Although you may be able to remove the tub to pump hose and might be able to get what may be in the outer tub as the hole is at the back of the tub and the tub leans to the back it may have settled there. 1 Answer Hello Don! From the diagrams it seems that the unit uses two shocks W10739670. Best way to verify is to open up the washer and look inside. Unfortunately, we do not have access to Kenmore service manuals. Thanks! Read More...
