Richard October 31, 2017 for Model Number KUCS03CTSS2 I have ordered and need to replace the 'Drawer Tilt Switch' on my compactor. When I remove the top panel, it is not obvious how to get to the switch. Is there another way to approach it? Thank You Richard
1 Answer Hello Richard. Removal 1. Disconnect power. 2. Remove drawer from compactor. 3. Pry switch from front flange using a flat head screwdriver. NOTE: WHEN PRYING SWITCH OUT WHILE TRYING TO REMOVE IT, YOU MAY HAVE TO BREAK THE SWITCH TABS. 4. Remove wires from switch. Read More...
Paul May 27, 2016 for Model Number KUCC151JBL0 Switch part #777971 has burnt points. Can I purchase that item? By replacing that switch could that solve the problem I am experiencing? My problem is that the compactor motor just quit running and I have checked all of the other switches and I believe they are all ok by testing the way the service directions directed. The motor runs as I have made it go but it goes to the bottom and stays there. I have have cranked it back to the top and we mash the trash by foot.
1 Answer Paul, The part number you are looking for is the motor W10439651 as you cannot get the switch as a separate part. Read More...
Rich April 17, 2014 for Model Number kucs03ftss0 the regular up down works no problem but when I put it on solid pack it doesn't go I would have to hold in the button with my foot and then it goes up first then if I hit again it goes down but again I woulod have to hold in the button with my foot it has the new upgreade for the pedal
1 Answer Rich, You'll need to check the cycle switch W11032731 contacts for an "open" circuit. and check the motor centrifugal switch W10439651 for an "open" circuit across the orange and black wire contacts on the switch. " “Solid or Dense Pack” cycle switch contacts open whether in “on” or “off” state (only on equipped models) Centrifugal switch contacts open (orange/black switch)" Read More...
