Jim S. September 19, 2017 for Model Number KCCC151EWH0 My cycle switch has four prongs for an electrical connection, your replacement switch has only three prongs. My switch did allow me to lower and hold the ram down and then raise the ram when the switch was turned off. I now have to raise the ram by the on/off switch. Do you have a replacement for the four prong switch?
1 Answer Hello Jim, I'm sorry but we can only recommend the replacement parts recommended by the manufacturer. This is the only part shown to be a satisfactory replacement for the original part as per the manufacturer. As per the manufacturers' note, This part no longer has the 4th terminal for the internal light. Read More...
Ralph S. November 11, 2015 for Model Number Kenmore trash compactor model 666-13604000 I have an older model and the replacement part for the pac/extrapac switch part number 987157 that is on my compactor has a light and there are 4 plug in places. The replacement for this part number has only 3 places to plug in wires. The 4th connection plug place is on the opposite side of where the three plug in places are and the yellow wire has a split so that one of the yellow wires plugs into the side where the other wires plug into the switch. The other yellow wire plugs into the opposite side of the plug ins opposite where the yellow wire plugs in, (they plug into the back on opposite sides of the same end. There is a light on the original switch and the manual says it will not run if the light goes out (which is what happened). The current part that has the same number only has three places for the wires to plug into the switch. Is there a new schematic for wiring that modifies it to work without the light and extra wire to plug into? I have tried everywhere and cannot find the original switch with 4 plug ins and a light and was told by one vendor to see if anyone knows how to modify the wiring to work with the new 3 prong switches.
1 Answer Hello Ralph, As per the manufacturer, the internal light wire is no longer connected. Read More...

1 Answer Hi Hamaga. There is a directional switch part # WP777811. Use a volt/ohm meter part # MA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. It should read closed (0-ohms) when closed, infinity when opened. Thank You. Read More...
Robert February 08, 2012 for Model Number KCCC151EBL0 I need the "compact" lock switch for my compactor and no one can locate it for me. On my machine the air fresh fan switch is on the left of the compactor lock switch. Both of my switches have red lights on them. The new replacement # for my lock switch is smaller than my switch and has no light on it. Where is it possible for me to get the correct switch? I've tried several sources and no luck. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Robert! The off switch WP9872161 is a factory direct replacement from the manufacture and is the only part they offer as the replacement. This will work with your product. Thanks. Read More...
Thomas May 13, 2011 for Model Number kenmore 665.13605790 switch 9871105 Do you have the electrical wiring for this switch. It only has three terminals and my switch has four. If I could see the normal open / closed contacts I could tell if this switch will work.
1 Answer Hello Thomas. We do not have the wiring information for the switch. It looks like O is the common, Y is NC, and O/B is NO. You can test the switch. With the switch off, the open terminal will be NO, and the closed terminal will be NC. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
