Frank M January 11, 2014 for Model Number WGD9151YWO Hi, the gas drier is 1 year old when you start it it will run for 10 sec than turn off for30 sec than turn on again for 10 sec than off again keep s doing that. What is wrong with it? thanks
1 Answer Frank, Normally when you have an issue like this there will be one of a couple things wrong. The first thing that you will want to do is check your venting for clogs. Check from the inside of the home to the outside of the home. If the venting checks ok then the coils on the gas valve would most likely be the issue. The part number for the coils is WPW10328463. Tim S February 26, 2013 for Model Number 110.70182000 The dryer will start up for about 1 minute then the flame stops and dryer cools down. If you unplug the dryer for a while (5 minutes) you can restart the dryer and the same thing happens. would this be the Thermstat-F # 3391912. I checked he continuity and there is none once the dryer burner shuts down. After 5 minutes it has continuity again.
1 Answer Tim, If the unit does not run with the thermostat WP3391912 not having continuity and the runs after it has a chance to cool down then the thermostat is defective and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Jim January 30, 2013 for Model Number wgd5600xwo Gas dryer is taking too long to dry clothes. Tested the interior drum an temperature runs 100 an 109 degrees and 71 degrees at the exhaust vent. Any ideas?
1 Answer Hello Jim. You will need to test the thermostats and the flame sensor and make sure they are good. They should read closed for continuity. Also, check the igniter and make sure it is getting hot enough to light the gas. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter for the testing procedures. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Steve August 18, 2011 for Model Number cgm2751kq3 Hi, I'm still having trouble with this dryer. The dryer will work for about 15 minutes and stop. Then, when I press the start button, I can hear a click. After some time passes, the dryer will restart. I've changed the thermal fuse, main and secondary coils along with the thrmst-fix(ap3037879).Also, the exhaust is clear and I jumped the thrmst-f(AP2975888)What could it be? In a previous question, someone suggested testing the flame sensor for continuity. Should it be closed throughout the run time? Thank you for your help.
1 Answer Hello Steve. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the motor is over heating and is shutting down. You will need to replace the motor W10841144. Hope this helps. Read More...
Steve July 31, 2011 for Model Number CGM2751KQ3 Hi, The flame on this dryer does not stay lit. I've replaced the main and secondary coils along with the thrmst-fix(ap3037879.) In addition the exhaust is clear and I bypassed the thrmst-f(ap2910747. What else could it be? Also, could you estimate the burn times for each setting- high, medium and low? I assume the flame burns longer and more frequent on high.
1 Answer Hello Steve. There is no estimate of the flame time. You will need to check and see if the flame sensor WP338906 is bad on the unit. It should read closed for continuity. If it is good, you may have a bad gas valve 279923. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
