1 Answer Hello Jacob. You will need to use the wiring diagram on your unit and use the timer chart to test the timer. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Christian September 10, 2014 for Model Number LSR7233EQ0 Hi Appliance part pros, My wahser machine motor makes this humming sound. Sometimes it goes through the full cycle some other times it doesn't. when it doesn't, the motor makes this humming sound not doing anything. I tested the motor by it self thinking that the pump or gear box might be getting stuck contributing to the humming, but the motor ran for 20 min like it should and them stopped and started to make the humming sound. So it is not the pump or the gear box. I have replaced the motor and capacitor but the problem still there. Could it be the timer? thank you for your help in advance.
1 Answer Christian, With the motor running for 20 minutes then shutting down with nothing attached to it then the issue would most likely be in the timer. Read More...

Eric November 23, 2013 for Model Number LSR8233EZO The timer and washer operates in all modes except in spin cycle. The timer stops and the washer doesn't spin at all. It sounds like the machine is off and then it will make a humming noise every 5 minutes or so for about 10 seconds and then go quiet again. Does this indicate the timer is bad?
1 Answer Hello Eric, If the lid switch 3949247V tests good, you could have a poor connection to the motor capacitor, a bad capacitor WP8572717, a bad motor WP661600 winding, or a bad timer WP3949339. These items can be checked systematically to prevent ordering un-necessary parts. Read More...
