The Tine Row is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. It is a component of the dishwasher's rack that holds dishes, glasses, and other items securely in place during the wash cycle. The tine row helps organize the dishes, ensuring they remain upright and properly spaced for optimal cleaning.

Causes of a bad tine row can include regular wear and tear, excessive force when loading or unloading dishes, or rust and corrosion over time, particularly in areas with hard water.

Symptoms of a bad tine row include:

  • Bent or broken tines
  • Difficulty in placing dishes securely
  • Rust or discoloration on the tines
  • Dishes not staying in place during the wash cycle

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

I have the single removable tine row in my bottom basket. It does not stay upright anymore, but falls over. Looking at various sites, I can't figure out what holds the tine row upright. The manual that came with the dishwasher talks about a "tine holder" or "holding clips". Is this what I need to hold the tine row upright again? What is the part number and how many do I need? It is so frustrating that I can't use this section for plates etc. anymore.
