This surface burner valve controls gas flow to an individual cooktop or range burner, enabling safe, precise flame adjustment. Replacing a worn valve restores reliable ignition, smooth flame control, and proper shutoff at the knob.

  • Regulates gas supply to one surface burner as you turn the control knob
  • Helps address a burner that won't ignite, erratic or unresponsive flame adjustment, or a stiff/stripped valve stem
  • Provides positive shutoff when the knob is in the Off position
  • Saddle-style mounting on the gas manifold
What's included: 1 saddle-style surface burner gas valve Install notes:
  • Shut off gas supply and disconnect power; allow the appliance to cool
  • Access the manifold and note knob orientation and tubing/orifice connections for reassembly
  • Use an approved thread sealant only where specified by the manufacturer; do not overtighten fittings
  • After installation, leak-check all joints with a soap-and-water solution and verify ignition and low-flame adjustment

Connie, It sounds like someone twisted the knob and the shaft of the valve. Your stove has three different valves, and five burners. We will need to know which burner valve is damaged to get you the correct valve to repair the range( right front, center, left rear, etc.) Yes you will need to raise the cooktop, and remove the manifold panel to access the burner valves. When you reply with the burner location, please include an e mail address, we can include the service information needed to access the valves. Thanks
