Roger May 12, 2023 for Model Number WFW9550WR00 I have a multimeter to test if my valve has failed. I was unsure if I am supposed to test for voltage or if I am able to test for continuity. If I need to test voltage, what should it read and do I test it with the washer running?
1 Answer Roger, you will need to test for 120 VAC. It should be while the valve is being energized so that you can check for proper voltage. There will only be voltage going to the valve when water is being called for from the control. Read More...

Jim September 16, 2013 for Model Number 11046742702 Have a Kenmore Elite Washer that fills extremely slowly with water (intermittently) while the machine is not in use. Water is clear (clean). If the door is open, the water will slowly leak out and cause the floor of the laundry to get flooded. My guess is that the intake valve solenoid is not staying closed. However, I have never heard the water running. Does this sound like the likely cause of the problem.
1 Answer Hello Jim. It sounds like the water valve is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Ryan September 03, 2013 for Model Number 110.46742702 Every now and again i will get an f20 error. I ran a diagnostic test and nothing showed up. Ive taken off the flow meter and blew through it...it seems to work by making a wistle sound. The inlet valve had some sedimentation so i cleaned it out. I did these things b/c now my fabric softener is still in the dispenser after the load is over....also now my detergent powder is also there after cycle. This means there is very little water getting to the front of the dispenser tray. I have looked above the dispenser tray and all holes look clear. Tray is clean as well. What are your thoughts. I am not completely lacking water but its obviously having trouble....by the way my water volume and pressure is great i checked it. thanks
1 Answer Hello Ryan. NO WATER DETECTED ENTERING MACHINE OR PRESSURE SWITCH TRIP NOT DETECTED. I would check for a bad water valve on the unit and replace it if necessary. Read More...
