This water inlet valve regulates the flow of household water into the dishwasher during each fill. Replacing a worn or clogged valve restores proper filling and consistent wash performance while helping prevent long fill errors. What it does:

  • Electrically opens and closes to allow the correct amount of water into the tub.
  • Maintains proper water level for wash and rinse phases.
  • Common failure symptoms: no water entering, slow/low fill, long fill or "faucet"/fill errors, or leakage from the valve body.
  • Internal screen can clog with debris, restricting flow.
What's included: 1 water inlet valve assembly. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and turn off the water supply before servicing.
  • Access the valve near the front/bottom of the dishwasher; place a towel or pan to catch residual water.
  • Move wires and water connections one at a time; transfer any mounting hardware or fittings from the original valve as needed.
  • Restore water and power, check for leaks, and run a test fill; ensure the float/float switch moves freely.

Roger, you will need to test for 120 VAC. It should be while the valve is being energized so that you can check for proper voltage. There will only be voltage going to the valve when water is being called for from the control.

Ryan for Model Number 110.46742702

Every now and again i will get an f20 error. I ran a diagnostic test and nothing showed up. Ive taken off the flow meter and blew through it...it seems to work by making a wistle sound. The inlet valve had some sedimentation so i cleaned it out. I did these things b/c now my fabric softener is still in the dispenser after the load is over....also now my detergent powder is also there after cycle. This means there is very little water getting to the front of the dispenser tray. I have looked above the dispenser tray and all holes look clear. Tray is clean as well. What are your thoughts. I am not completely lacking water but its obviously having trouble....by the way my water volume and pressure is great i checked it. thanks

Hello Ryan. NO WATER DETECTED ENTERING MACHINE OR PRESSURE SWITCH TRIP NOT DETECTED. I would check for a bad water valve on the unit and replace it if necessary.
