For Whirlpool Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve (Part Number: OEM18022602)

Tim, In order to replace the water valve of the unit you will need to remove the kickplate. On the left side of the unit is where the water valve will be located. You will want to turn the water supply off and using a wrench take the water line loose from the valve. There will then be a screw holding the valve in place. Remove the screw and the valve. Disconnect the wires and transfer the elbow from the old valve onto the new valve. Reinstall in reverse.

John, This issue would be caused by a faulty water valve. The water valve is not repairable but can be replaced.

Hello Mark. You water valve has to have electrical connections or it will not work. Power energizes the solenoid on the valve and allows the water to flow through the valve. You need to look for some wires unplugged under the unit that attaches to the water valve.

Hello Chad. You will need to test and see if there is power going to the drain pump when the unit is in the drain cycle. If so, and the pump is not draining the machine, you may have a bad drain pump. The model number you provided is not working properly. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Hello Toni. These are located in the bottom of the dishwasher. There will be a fill hose that attaches to the valve and a wiring harness that will attach as well. You should have some mounting screws on the frame of the machine to mount the valve with. They are usually located on the left side toward the front of the machine. Hope this helps.

Lester S for Model Number Kenmore 665. 1696581

I have an old Kenmore with this inlet valve (#AP3050333). Machine is working but was leaking from the white plastic valve body behind the gold plate/cover that connects the black electric switch/relay to it. I removed, disassembled, cleaned and reinstalled the assembly. Now the machine turns on but does not let water in. I did turn the water supply valve on and checked that the float in machine is not stuck in up position. Any ideas would be appreciated...Thanks!

Hello Lester. Sounds like the valve is bad. When you take these apart they can do this. Hope this helps.
