Mark October 03, 2011 for Model Number gu1500xtkt0 Water continues to run into my whirpool dishwasher after a cycle causing an overflow/flood. I'm not sure the problem is water valve, water inlet or drain conrol. When off, water drips in filling the bottom and I use the cancel/drain button to empty, which works.

J Jones September 16, 2011 for Model Number GU1100XTLB1 Water was dripping from the what looked to be from the water inlet valve underneath the dishwasher. It has, apparently, leaked for some time - water pooled under the kitchen in the crawl space. The carpet, plywood flooring, joists, etc were soaked. Turned off the water to the dishwasher to stop the leak until fixed. Could there be any other parts necessary to replace in order to repair or does this sound like a typical water inlet valve problem? Thank you.
1 Answer J, Repalcing the fill valve , and making sure the connection is properly aligned and tightened, will solve the issue. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
Larry August 13, 2011 for Model Number 66515939000 Our dishwasher will not fill up enough, the inlet strainer is clean, it puts 1-gallon & 3-quarts @145-seconds. How close is the water supposed to be to the bottom of the float when the water valve shuts off. I can add water to the sump and the circulation motor will pump water to the spray heads, otherwise it will not. Everything is clean, the strainers all tubes, pump is clear. Can the fill valve be partially opening?
1 Answer Hello Larry. The water should be next to the bottom of the heater. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the water valve WP8531669 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...

Jeff June 01, 2011 for Model Number GU 1200 XTLBO Thank you for your answer. So does the water inlet valve control the amount of flow? If so does it appear that I have damaged the flow regulator part of the valve there by letting too much water through at one time causing the water inlet kit to leak??

Jeff June 01, 2011 for Model Number GU 1200XTLBO After returning from Florida to our Maine home after bring away seven months, I reinstalled the water inlet valve #ap3178610 that I had removed and drained, and used an air pressure hose to ensure that the water was completely gone. When I turned on the water it appeared to be leaking from from the water inlet kit # ap3139559. It looks like it is blowing back up out of the inlet. I order a new one of those # ap3139559 and replace it. It still leaks in the same way. I put new clamps on the hose that goes from the inlet valve to the inlet kit and it still leaks in the same way. Could I have damaged the water inlet valve last fall when I used an air hose to blow out the water. Could the valve be letting too much water through causing the inlet kit to leak? Or what else could it be? Please help.
