The Tub Wheel Assembly is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. It consists of the wheels and their mounting components that facilitate the smooth gliding of the dishwasher rack in and out of the unit. This assembly is critical for the operation of loading and unloading dishes, ensuring that the racks move smoothly without jamming or causing damage to the dishwasher interior.

Symptoms of a faulty tub wheel assembly include:

  • Difficulty in sliding the dishwasher racks.
  • Racks getting stuck or derailing during movement.
  • Unusual noises when the racks are moved.

The primary causes of wear or damage to the tub wheel assembly can include regular use, excessive load on the racks, or accidental force applied when loading or unloading dishes. These can lead to broken wheels or dislodged fittings, necessitating replacement to maintain functionality.

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Pete, Reinstalling the rear rack stops WPW10195622 is relatively easy, they snap and lock in place once you insert them into the track assembly. First place the rack stop with the two openings(holes) facing towards the center of the rack, into the end of the track, hold the track firmly and press in on the rack stop until you feel or hear the locking tabs set and lock into place on the track. Then install the rack, and the front rack stops in the same manner. Thanks,

Pete, The rear rack stop should just push into place and lock in. This would be the only way it will go in.

Hello Diane. You will need to uninstall the dishwasher and pull it out of the cabinet just enough to access and remove the screws from the wheels.

Don for Model Number Kitchenaid KUDE40FXSS1

I have order part number W10505748 from you but I cannot figure out how to remove these parts from the dish washer or how they go on. There are no screw holes in the replacement parts. Only, what looks like rubber seals on the back surface. Do I need to take the side covers off? Is there a way to get the rollers off of the assembly without damaging them and using the new rollers with the old bracket? Please let me know how to get them off and on. Thanks

Don, You will need to pull the dishwasher out and once you have the unit out there will be screws on the outside of the dishwasher that will hold the wheel assembly in place.

Hello John. No, the screws are on the inside of the tub, not the outside of the tub. You will need to remove the upper rack and the rack track to replace the wheels.
