This freezer wire harness links the refrigerator's control system to components inside the freezer compartment. Replacing a compromised harness restores reliable electrical connections and can resolve intermittent or dead freezer functions caused by burned, broken, or corroded wiring.

  • Routes power and signals between the control system and freezer components
  • Supports proper operation of devices such as the evaporator fan, defrost circuit, lighting, or icemaker
  • Replaces cut, heat-damaged, or brittle wiring and loose/oxidized connectors
  • Typical symptoms: intermittent cooling, components not running, or visible burned/melted connectors
What's included: One freezer wire harness assembly. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the refrigerator before servicing
  • Photograph routing and connections; move wires over one-by-one to the new harness
  • Seat connectors fully until locking tabs engage; avoid forcing pins
  • Route through original clips/grommets and keep clear of sharp edges, hot surfaces, and moving parts

Sally, To put oil back into the unit, the transmission would need to be pulled and you would need to separate the transmission housing and pour oil into the transmission casing and put back together. The part number for the gearcase oil is 350572.

Hello Steve. The defrost thermostat WP2192096 is located behind the freezer wall in the back on top of the evaporator. You will need to remove the back panel inside the freezer to access the thermostat. Then, you will see it cliped on the top of the evaporator. Hope this helps.

Tom for Model Number RT14DKXGN01

I've got water running down the inside back wall of the fridge and also have ice cubes in the ice maker that are frozen together. I disconnected the power and took the back panel off the freezer compartment and discovered that the drain hole was frozen over. After thawing out I made sure the drain tube was clear by pouring warm water through it and it was. I plugged fridge back in and ice cubes are still melting together. I suspect in this model(RT14DKXGN01)that I need part# AP3135853 to correct the problem. Assuming I need to check for continuity on the bi-metal first, do I need to cut the wires to check this? and if that is the problem,is there a bi-metal only that will work or do I have to replace the whole harness?
