Charles W Decatur , IL September 17, 2019 Bad bearings on Samsung front loader. Followed the excellent videos provided by AppliancePartsPros. Made a multi step repair, if not simple, then extremely less complicated. Loved the way they showed the step by step disassembly as well as the step by step reassembly. Great videos. Got the right parts the first time and very fast delivery. Steven G Centreville , VA October 09, 2022 Appliance: Samsung Washer WF42H5000AW/A2-0000 During the spin cycle the machine sounded like a jet engine. Deduced that the cause was a failed bearing for the drum. Ordered spin bearings (both inner and outer). Although APP did not have a video showing bearing replacement, they did have a video on tub seal replacement that was adequate to get most of the way to bearing replacement. Did have an appliance repair company come out and assess the situation. They suggested replacing the entire drum, at a cost of $1500. Replacement parts purchased from APP were less than $200. Of course, the repair took several hours of personal time, but the repair went without issue, using the APP videos. Steve L Ewing , NJ April 30, 2022 Appliance: Model SAMSUNG FONT LOAD WASHER Bad bearing. Followed my man Bob Ross step by step. It's a big job, kind of a pain. Fitting the shock absorbers is tricky. Mostly though, when you get inside it will probably be filthy. Especially if the bearing has leaked the grease all over. Plan to clean outside with a hose and a brush and lots of grease cutter. Other than that, it's doable, difficult, takes hours to get it all cleaned out. Used an old toothbrush to clean out the various hoses, got things roughly back to like new inside. That's pretty satisfying. As always I love not throwing things away when they can be repaired. Read More...
