Replaced touch pad. Did run into a little problem. the new pad flashed up a code PED000 apparently the pad had to be programmed using the code from the serial number plate. Whirlpool service was zero help said code didn't exist. Found instructions how to do it on line. Found it on Google by asking what does this code mean.
