This cycle selector switch is the user control that selects and advances cooking/drying cycles, restoring reliable cycle selection and user control on compatible appliances. It provides a direct replacement for a worn or non-responsive selector. What it does:
- Rotates to select the appliance cycle and sends the chosen setting to the control system
- Restores proper cycle selection when the knob or control no longer changes settings
- Commonly used when cycles won't start, don't advance, or the control feels loose or intermittent
- Works as the mechanical/electrical interface between the user knob and the appliance control
What's included: One cycle selector switch (single unit) Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before beginning any work
- Remove the control knob and panel trim to access the switch—keep track of screws and small parts
- Note or label wire locations before disconnecting; reconnect wires to the same terminals
- Test cycle selection and appliance operation after installation; if issues remain, check related controls and wiring

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
The washer was overfilling and agitation caused the water to spill out over the top of the tub Jeffrey W. • Daufuskie Island , SC • August 08, 2014
I followed the rubber tubing attached to the outside of the washer tub and it was attached to the pressure switch. The switch is the only component in the system that could potentially fail, so I guessed that it had to be the culprit. I ordered the new one, it arrived in less than 36 hours, installed it, plugged the wires in just like the old one (only three wires) and voila, it now shuts off the water flow just like a new washer.

This pressure switch detects and signals correct water level to the appliance control, helping ensure proper fill and cycle operation. Replaces a failed or intermittent pressure-sensing switch to restore reliable water-level control. What it does:
- Senses water/air pressure and tells the control when the correct fill level is reached
- Helps prevent overfilling or underfilling by sending on/off signals to the control
- Common symptom of failure: appliance won't fill, overfills, or cycles erratically
- Used by the control to advance wash/drain cycles based on water level feedback
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power and shut off water supply before installing
- Handle the vacuum tubing and electrical connectors gently; ensure secure, leak-free connections
- Verify correct hose routing and a snug clamp/seal on the pressure hose
