This lens covers the interior lamp in the refrigerator compartment, diffusing light and protecting the bulb. Replacing a cracked or missing lens restores even illumination and keeps the bulb safely shielded from bumps and splashes. What it does:

Common fix for broken tabs, a yellowed/warped or cracked lens, or a missing cover

Install notes:

Disconnect power and let the bulb cool before starting
Release the retaining tabs or remove screws; support the lens as you take it off
Align and fully seat the new lens; ensure clips engage or screws are snug—do not overtighten
