This part is a float bowl gasket. It is manufactured for use on a variety of outdoor power equipment engines. The float bowl gasket is a flexible plastic component that is fitted into the carburetor and creates a seal that protects the float bowl from debris, dust, and air leakage. A new float bowl gasket may be needed if there is leakage. The floats themselves can be visually inspected for any signs of damage or wear and the float bowl gasket can be replaced if there are signs of either. If the operator can hear gas inside of the floats, then a new float bowl gasket will be needed.This is a genuine OEM part sourced directly from Midwest Engine. It is sold individually. I replaced the ignition module and flywheel. While I had it open, I also replaced the hub starter which was a cause of the pull starter slipping a bit.
