This snap bushing is a push-in panel grommet that protects and secures wiring where harnesses pass through metal or plastic panels. It prevents chafing and helps keep wire routing neat for safer operation. What it does:

I replaced the hinges. The door just slides up, after opening it slightly. Each hinge is held by three screws, and has a spring hooked to the inboard end. After removing the screws, I pulled hard on the hinge, to get the spring hook exposed. The long tang, on the spring, allowed me to hook the new hinge onto the spring, before unhooking the old hinge.
