The spark module for my 1990 Caloric Model RSS398 Natural Gas double oven range stopped functioning. I tried to get the part at a local appliance parts store and was unsuccessful as they said the part was discontinued. I called the Appliance Parts Pros help line and spoke to an excellent service tech who took the time and made the effort to reference, cross reference, and find a part that was different in configuration, but functionally the same. Replaced pilot. Removed bottom of baking area by pushing forward on the two clips in the back in order to easily access the pilot. Turned off gas, unscrewed the nut connecting it to the gas line. Pressed up on small spring to slide out the sensor, then removed the screw holding the pilot on. Installed in reverse order. Super easy to do, has been fine so far. Read more
