After a few days of our 16 YO Frigidaire Affinity front-loading washer (model ATF7000EG0) dancing around the room bellowing like an elephant in musth, I decided to fix it. I took 11 year old washer apart, by watching step by step instructional video on this site. Found the problem & order the part (inner tub,shaft & spider). It's a shame you can't just order the spider, because the stainless steel tub & shaft were still perfectly good. Apparently, this is the manufactures way of making money. Follow instructions on internet. The only issue was the flat head allen drive screw securing the belt pulley to the shaft. Rounded the allen drive and wrench. Drilled two holes on opposite sides of allen drive hole. Elongated to make a long slot. Used impact driver to remove screw. Read more
