This replacement flex-row retainer secures the appliance's flex-row component so movable shelves or assemblies stay seated and operate without shifting. Restores proper mounting and stops looseness or rattling caused by a broken or missing retainer. What it does:
- Holds the flex-row assembly or trim securely in its mounting track to prevent shifting.
- Keeps shelves or modular components aligned and prevents rattling during normal use.
- A worn or broken retainer can allow the flex-row to move, vibrate, or come loose.
- Simple, single-piece clip designed to replace damaged or missing retainers.
What's included: One flex-row retainer. Install notes:
- Always disconnect power to the appliance before servicing.
- Remove the affected shelf, trim, or access panel to reach the retainer per the appliance service instructions.
- Press or snap the retainer into the mounting location until fully seated; reassemble removed parts.
- If mounting tabs or surrounding parts are damaged, repair or replace those components before installing the new retainer.

Dish racks had rusted out Kathryn J. • Wilmington , DE • February 25, 2019
First I ordered new dishracks from KitchenAid/Whirlpool. However, they don't make the "flex row" tines anymore and there was, therefore, a big "hole" in the dishrack that arrived. I could fit a large pot in the space, but no dishes (they'd fall through). KitchenAid and Whirlpool don't even sell the parts anymore. But, to the rescue comes AppliancePartsPros.com. I was able to order the correct parts and put them in with no difficulty, once I viewed the very handy video.
Thank you so much. ...
