My son searched the internet for replacement hinges. Found them at Appliance Parts Pros.com. The stove is approximately 18 years old, so imagine my surprise! The parts were delivered 2 days after our order was placed...and arrived on Christmas Eve, in time for dinner. To install, he did have to purchase a single die/tappit thingie to make the screws work. I sent an e-mail to customer service and explained to them that I had lifted the Amana cooktop from the counter and it appeared to be a sealed unit. Not certain how to take it apart, I asked for the service manual or description on how to access the unit for repair. The next day customer service / technical support sent me a PDF, and after printing out and reading it - decided that the unit was repairable by removing (8) screws from the burners, and (2) screws from underside of the burner... I installed the new Temperature Sensor and tested the oven. The oven temperature would reach the desired set temperature, but after about 5 minutes I would get the F3 Fault code again. Therefore , I thought the real problem may have been the Circuit Board instead of the temperature sensor. However, I installed the new Temperature Sensor without cutting the power to the oven.
