Gas stove spark ignition electrode includes retaining clip for mounting.
Sealed burner gas cooktop has to be removed from the counter top in order to disassemble. This means disconnecting the gas line. To disassemble the unit you will have to remove the gas line regulator. Once the unit is separated you will see the spark module. I replaced the module. Note: Because the new module has been updated from the original it does look different. I suggest you put the new module along side the old taking one wire at a time from the old to the new. My son searched the internet for replacement hinges. Found them at Appliance Parts Pros.com. The stove is approximately 18 years old, so imagine my surprise! The parts were delivered 2 days after our order was placed...and arrived on Christmas Eve, in time for dinner. To install, he did have to purchase a single die/tappit thingie to make the screws work.
