This brake pad kit includes the replacement friction pads used to stop and hold the drum or internal assembly in place, restoring normal stopping performance and preventing excess drum rotation. Designed to match the original OEM fit and function. What it does:
Because the washer would stop mid cycle and would start again after some period of time, I presumed that there was something amiss in the drive train (i.e. motor, transmission, belt). Took the unit apart and discovered that two of the three brake pads were destroyed. Motor turned easily as did the transmission. Replaced the brake pads and reassembled. Now the washer doesn't stop as before, but will blow by all cycles never stopping to drain, spin, or rinse. It appears that they damaged... Read more

I replaced the worn parts. Removed the electric motor/pump assembly then took it to my motorcycle repair shop to clean/maintenance the motor, remove the old pump because it was stuck on the motor shaft. Once removed I blew out dust/debris from the motor w/compressed air. Sanded and filed the corrosion off the shaft, applied a "sealing grease" of sorts to the shaft to make potential future removal easier and reassembled. I replaced the friction ring, counter balance spring and all six of the tub rings. Though not a terribly difficult repair it was time consuming as the cabinet had to come completely off to access the rear of the tub. Once all of the springs were removed it was easy to slide the tub to the side, tip it and remove the old ring. Replacing it was just as easy.
