My son searched the internet for replacement hinges. Found them at Appliance Parts Pros.com. The stove is approximately 18 years old, so imagine my surprise! I sent an e-mail to customer service and explained to them that I had lifted the Amana cooktop from the counter and it appeared to be a sealed unit. Not certain how to take it apart, I asked for the service manual or description on how to access the unit for repair. The next day customer service / technical support sent me a PDF, and after printing out and reading it - decided that the unit was repairable by removing (8) screws from the burners, and (2) screws from underside of the burner... I installed the new Temperature Sensor and tested the oven. The oven temperature would reach the desired set temperature, but after about 5 minutes I would get the F3 Fault code again. Therefore , I thought the real problem may have been the Circuit Board instead of the temperature sensor. However, I installed the new Temperature Sensor without cutting the power to the oven. First I ordered spark igniters but was unable to remove screw securing them. So decided to replace whole burner. Item went in well. It does work but takes a bit to ignite. I'm thinking in might need to replace screws, rusted, for better ground. It's odd that when burner is warm we have no problem with ignition. Hoping new screws will solve it. Read more
