Funny store, I took the appliance repair course, did what one normally does, refer to the trouble shooting manual, changed the belt like it said and still the same problem, the wife looked on youtube and found the answer, change the door switch, part was delivered in a few days which was very fast, took off the lid and replaced the door switch in a few seconds, it was that fast/easy. I believe the shock absorbers were bad and caused too much stress on the spring, breaking it. I replaced the spring, spring protector, and shock absorbers. I got lucky; when I got the drum back up where it belonged I saw that the door boot seal straightened itself back out and wasn’t damaged so I didn’t have to replace it. The whole job took about three hours and the washing machine runs more smoothly now than it did when it was new! Read more
