I decided to ask my husband to repair this ourselves after reading the reviews that all read the task was easy peezy 15-30 minutes. It's easy now that he knows how to do it. There was no instruction sheet (as promised) in the glass box. The video on the site for the gasket repair was nothing like our oven. Our gasket is on the door. We followed the instructions provided with the new element. When powered up for burn in phase, heard a loud 'pop'. Turned the power back off. Pulled oven out of wall to access the back of the oven. Took off the back of oven. It was very obvious that the element had shorted out on the oven case. The connectors on the element end up touching the oven case when installed per instructions. Changed the bulbs, carefully. You must have Dacor Oven Bulbs or the others will just blow. Read more
