Remove and replace the control panel. Eventually had to take off the lower cover to snap out the control panel. Dishwasher didn't work at first as the door lock wasn't engaging the on/off micro switch. I took the door apart again and noticed I forgot to snap the door lock back. It turns out I never needed to unsnap the door lock assembly. So, first remove the foot plate(a), then remove then unscrew the star head nuts to remove the door cover and it slides down a half inch then pops out. Remove... Read more
I nearly shelled out for a new Kitchenaid when I remembered APP and entered my model # just for fun. The interactive diagrams and install videos showed where all the parts "should" be, mine were badly disintegrated, so I replaced the damaged ones and swapped out all of the other easily accessible seals and bearings (also gave it a good and very disturbing cleaning).
