Watched a few of your videos and ordered the springs and a insert, and actually got the parts right. I am not a Appliance repair guy but I am retired and I am pretty handy so I thought what the heck. This washer switch is both the lid lock and lid switch. New mounting bracket replaces older design. Which means in some applications you may need to drill off old design mounting bracket prior to mounting the new lock. If your replacing the 4 wire switch you will need to tape off light switch leads. The light will no longer be used. Instructions included.
I unplugged the power source to the appliance. I unscrewed 2 screws and unplugged the lid switch. I replaced the old switch with the new switch and screwed in the same 2 screws that held the old switch in place and plugged the new lid switch back in under the lid. that's it . Ordered rear drum bearing kit and watched video on how to replace it. I completed the job in 2 hours, it took awhile for me to figure out which screws had to be removed as I have the small washer/dryer combo that dryer sits on top. Once replaced, put back together and ran it for a test run and it was quiet. Thank you, the video helped, especially in using the grease supplied to hold ball bearing and to grease bearing(last time I only ordered the bearing and didn't know to use grease. Read more
