Alumilastic Cement
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP4317852

The Alumilastic Cement is an OEM part for Whirlpool appliances, typically used in refrigerators and freezers. It serves as a thermal mastic compound, designed to provide a secure and heat-conductive bond between various components, such as evaporator coils and the interior walls of the appliance.

Causes of a bad alumilastic cement can include drying out, cracking, or losing its adhesive properties over time. Symptoms of a bad alumilastic cement include:

  • Unusual noises from the cooling system
  • Components becoming loose or detaching
  • Increased energy consumption

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Heater Ring
Genuine Bosch part
By: Bosch
Part Number: 00098494

This genuine OEM replacement part is a heater ring. Also known as the heating element, the heater ring is the coil in the oven that heats up allowing the oven to do its job. Over time, through continuous wear and tear, it is possible for a heating ring to no longer heat properly and sometimes not heat at all. Luckily, replacing this part is a relatively simple process. To replace the heating element, first, make sure the oven is turned off and unplugged. After that, remove the screws of the back panel located on the interior of the oven where the fan is located. The old heater ring will be attached to a single bracket with two screws. Unfasten those screws and remove the old ring by gently pulling it out. Remove the wires attached to the back of the heating element and make sure to take note of their orientation by taking a photo. After the old heater ring has been completely removed, reattach the correct wires to the terminals of the new heating element. Secure the mounting bracket and reinstall the back panel of the oven's interior. This replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with Bosch, Gaggenau, and Thermador ovens.

Mounting Bracket
Genuine Bosch part
By: Bosch
Part Number: 00157481

This genuine OEM part is an oven door handle mounting bracket. The oven door handle mounting bracket secures the handle to the oven door allowing the user to open and close the oven. Over time, these brackets can loosen, causing the handle to no longer be secured to the door. If the brackets are no longer holding the handle in place, then they might need to be replaced. Luckily this is a simple repair. To replace the brackets, open the oven door and locate the screws holding the brackets in place. Remove the screws and damaged brackets. Replace the brackets with the new ones and tighten the screws to secure the handle. Make sure to test if the handle is secured tightly to the oven door. This genuine replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with Bosch, Gaggenau, and Thermador ovens.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Door handle supports broke   Jack T. • Kittery Point , ME • August 05, 2016

Actually, it's an easy fix, but first you have to find the parts! The over is a 15 year old Gaggenau. The supports had broken before and the search to find them ended at Appliance Parts Pros. Somehow, I was able to find the packing slip information from the first time! I still can't believe I saved it. So, I called the 800# and gave a delightful lady my previous order number. Done deal. I gave her my credit card and she said the parts would be here in 2-5 days. They arrived in 1... Read more
