I replaced the start relay and overload switch with the single part Overload/Relay part number AP3119971. Now it operates like new. Had no problem replacing part, just followed instructions. First replaced start capacitor but that did not work, the start kit which has a relay and overload protector is what was needed. The relay is actually the only part that was bad I believe. After pulling the relay off the compressor you could shake it and it rattled, the new one did not. Really pretty easy and definitely cheaper than a service call. Read more
Emailed Appliance Parts Pros.com with my problem and was advised that I needed to install an updated drain hose with a larger inlet opening. I ordered the part and installed it about 24 hrs ago and it's still working like it's supposed to. I ended up using a 3/4" wood bit to get the old drain inlet out because the rubber was too stiff to pull/push it out. Once I drilled out most of the rubber, I was able to pull it out with pliers.
