Bin-Door
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 297187201

The Door Bin is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire refrigerators. It is an internal door that controls access to the bin storage compartment. This bin area provides additional shelving and can be used to neatly organize larger refrigerated items. This shelf measures approximately 14.25 x 6 inches.

Causes of a bad door bin can include damage to the hinges from frequent opening and closing or impact from heavy items, issues with the door latch or magnets not securely holding the door in closed position.

Symptoms of a bad bin include:

  • The door not closing or latching properly
  • Gaps allow cool air to escape from the storage area
  • Difficulty accessing items inside the storage bin
  • Lean or sag over time due to compromised hinges

This OEM Frigidaire replacement part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The new freezer did not come with enough shelves for the door for our use   Brenda W. • Upper Marlboro , MD • September 12, 2016

I went on line to find someone that sold the bins for the door. I found AppliancePaartsPros.com and ordered 3 of the bins. Two days latter 2 of the 3 bins arrived, the next day the last one arrived. It was in a box - no damage and wrapped in the protected wrapping, but it was broke, I called the number and gave them all my information. The next morning we had another bin in perfect condition. It is amazing how much more storage room we have by adding these bins. I would highly recommend... Read more

Part Number: 297318600

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The shaft inside the lock assembly broke when someone forced the key   Ronald N. • San Jose , CA • May 01, 2015

Replace the lock assembly: Open the lid and remove four philips screws from underneath the gasket. Carefully and patiently remove all of the gasket clips, first from the left and right sides then remove all but two from the top so when the final one comes out the panel and gasket can come towards you and then set gently in the top of the freezer. Remove the wires from the bulb in the center so they won't be in the way. Remove the large fiberglass rectangle and set it on top of the panel. Use a... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Power light was burned out   Daryl F. • Auberry , CA • May 24, 2014

Pulled bottom kick panel off, removed the one screw that held the light bracket on, unplugged the light connection, had to file a small burr off the bracket and pushed the light into the slot, reconnected the push on connector, replaced the screw for the bracket, replaced the kick panel, and marveled at my accomplishment. Less than twenty minutes, the part was the correct one, no problem. Read more
