I simply replaced the control panel on the machine. A very easy process. It didn't take me an hour. This also allows for clean up of spilled or splashed detergent you wouldn't normally be able to reach on the assembaled machine. Read more

Our Frigidaire front loading washing machine was purchased about 17 years ago. Subsequently, the door switch/lock set was redesigned requiring installing an upgrade kit 137523400 (AP5630665) involving removing the front lower panel and loosening the rear panel to provide needed access to install an adapter wiring harness.
