Defroster in freezer not functioning causing the freezer to frost up and the fridge to not cool appropriately Eddie R. • Debary , FL • January 06, 2015
I unplugged the fridge and took all the food and shelving out of the freezer and then proceeded to take off the bottom sliding drawer rack on both sides off (4 Phillips head screws). Then took off the light bulb cover and then the light bulb. Then the back wall that covers the coils and tubes that the refrigerant runs through ( 2 screws with hex head). After sliding out the back wall I could see that the entire coil area was frosted and iced up. I took a blow dryer and melted all of it over...

Ice flapper door stopped closing Lawrence D. • Holly Springs , NC • March 21, 2016
My refrigerator is 13 yrs old and began to build up frost in the ice cube shoot and the water tube began to freeze up over night. The flapper door was not closing completely. I simply removed the control panel by pulling up and out on the bottom edge, the edge is only about 1/8 inch thick, so don't reach in to far. You should be able to feel a small division line between the control panel and the refrigerator. No screw driver was needed to expose the 4 mounting screws of the inner dispenser...

Broken drawer slides for refrigerator drawers William L. • Bainbridge Is. , WA • February 24, 2015
Although the web ordering process was clear, I needed some "personal contact" via customer service. It took very little time to assure me the the parts were the correct ones and the video was easy to follow. When the parts arrived in 2 business days, it took only 30 mins. to complete the replacement of the slides. The video was a great way to assure there was no wasted time or effort.

I had 3 side rails that were broken Ken B. • Brandon , FL • March 09, 2016
The new slides fit perfectly. One thing to mention is that the slide rails come with the slide bearings so you do not need to buy those separate. When I called I was told I needed the bearings so I bought 3 assuming I would be able to salvage the others. Turns out I did not need them.

Nothing worked except the light :) Przemyslaw B. • Wallington , NJ • September 20, 2014
I changed the motherboard - computer and also changed the motor in the freezer, because it was doing a howling sound every time it turned on. The repair technician asked for $500 for a repair and that is on top of the $230 I paid him two days before. I looked up the parts and decided to try myself and it paid off. Great instructional videos. Thanks

First, cleaned all the dirt and lint from the condenser radiator, the fan motor is in a metal housing holding the fan motor in place. look carefully and there is a sheet metal screw at the bottom of the housing, 1/4 inch screw head sheet metal screw. Ice maker/water not working with dimming LED, power management, clicking from back Henry O. • Temecula , CA • April 01, 2014
The indication was that when I tried to use the icemaker or water dispenser, the green LED on the front would dim and the ice maker dispenser wouldn't work. It was intermittent at first, but this indicated it may be a power management issue, in that insufficient voltage was getting to the ice dispenser motor. I unplugged the unit to reset the electronics for about a minute, and when I plugged it back it the compressor would try to turn on (solenoid or relay would click about every two...

Water leaking from under/behind fridge (two sources) three problems a comedy of errors Joanne R. • Brookfield , WI • November 09, 2015
We noticed a puddle of water in front of the fridge a couple of months ago-dried the floor up both times and thought someone had dropped ice-or spilled water. A couple of weeks ago there was water dripping through the dropped tile ceiling in the basement. I shut off the water for the water supply to the fridge at the copper pipe in the basement and removed some of the tiles which felt a little damp. It still dripped all day. When my spouse came home he pulled down more of the tiles. It was as...

Fan was making noises. Mark M. • Easton , PA • May 15, 2023
My refrigerator's cooling fan was making a noise. It wasn't loud; in fact, it was barely discernible. However, it was just loud enough to annoy me. The fan blade was hitting the shroud every now and then, creating a subtle, yet annoying sound. I'd tried tightening all the screws back there, and it helped-for a while. The noise came back. After looking at the fan motor, I noticed the bushings; it occurred to me that they might be the culprit. And why not? They were the originals installed at the...

Would not run led dimmed condenser fan would not run Pete M. • Santa Fe , NM • May 16, 2015
We replaced the main circuit board and the LED started to work and the condenser fan worked, but all we had were relay clicking sounds, but no cooling. The compressor had become so hot trying to work when the main circuit board was amiss, that it had popped the over temperature sensor on its side. As some one point out, if you remove the PTC+OLP assembly with the capacitor on it, and shake it, you will hear a rattle inside---and that is bad. We ordered a second round of parts from...
