Ordered door switches, but didn't solve problem. Sent them back for credit. Ordered thermostat and it solved the problem. Microwave now works fine. The unit is only 7 years old and hope to get another 7 or more out of it. Thanks. Read more
I have a 21 yo GE convection/microwave that is well loved. In the past the only repair needed was to replace the door switches. We had moved from the town where the earlier repairs were done, so I was guessing it was the same problem. This was the only company on the internet that carried the parts and were much more reasonable than my new repair person could get them. In they went and now our machine is working again. Thank you. The microwave suddenly stopped working. No display, no light, nothing. After opening up the microwave I checked the fuse, fire sensor and thermal overload with a continuity tester. They all checked out. With the microwave plugged in and not running, I checked voltage at several points.
