The microwave suddenly stopped working. No display, no light, nothing. After opening up the microwave I checked the fuse, fire sensor and thermal overload with a continuity tester. They all checked out. With the microwave plugged in and not running, I checked voltage at several points. It was clear that the main control board was getting voltage but it was not turning anything on. I replaced the filter with a new one. Read more
Color: silver. Measures about 11-1/8" x 6-1/4". For matching aluminum filter, use: WB6X486.
The charcoal filter in the GE Microwave Oven was falling apart. Despite the directions, it is difficult to pull out but eventually worked it around the outer flange. Putting the new one in is a simple slide in. Then replace the grill and put the two screws back in. Read more
