After replacing the whole light assembly. The was no power to the lights. Pulled the control panel out and the copper fuse had burnt out. Soldered a new copper fuse line and works great. Read more

The door latch is opened by the lever switch, which sits on a plastic peg on the body latch - part AP3186330. This plastic peg had broken. Talking to the dealer, it sounds like a common problem. It's fairly simple to open the cabinet and remove the old part. The manual claims that the big capacitor has a self-discharging circuit, but it's best to briefly short it out with a resistor just to be sure.
